Google Comes on Strong with New Social Networking Features in Google Plus

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 04, 2011 - The latest innovation in social networking and beyond can be found on Google Plus (Google +), still in a limited-launch phase, but being reviewed and talked about all over the web. Google + has been described as Google's take on Facebook, but it has the potential to be that and a whole lot more. Google + starts with a similar idea, connecting on the web, but it has taken the concept and magnified it, resulting in new potential for web communication.  Three of Google +'s features are known as Circles, Sparks and Hangouts.  Here, we'll examine each of these and the potential they have to reach an even greater audience with your marketing message.

Circles: This is the feature that seems to be creating the most buzz.  Circles addresses the issue of having one long "friends" list that makes no distinctions between the types of "friends" you have.  Having one long list can cause discomfort, make your communication cumbersome and even create potential disasters (remember all the articles you've read about whether or not to "friend" your boss, coworkers, or mother-in-law?).

Circles allows you to add anyone you wish to your list of friends, but goes beyond that by offering categorizations in which to place them.  You can have a circle of work acquaintances, a circle of friends from back in high school or college, and a circle just for family.  Place your friends in one circle or multiple circles simply by dragging them there using the visual (and entertaining) interface.  With circles, you can add anyone you wish to your circles, but unless they add you back, you'll only be able to see their public postings.  This makes for potentially exciting marketing news since people will likely feel more comfortable sharing links or campaigns when they can easily control who they are passing the information on to.

Sparks: Content based on categories selected by the user is funneled to that Goo remote control helicopter gle + user in a format that makes it easy to share and discuss with other users. The Sparks feature holds great promise for those looking to get specific content in front of an audience and have them spread the word in an organic manner. On Google +, the "+1 feature" is similar to the "Like" button on Facebook, allowing users to rate content, comments, or links as particularly helpful, useful or entertaining.

Hangouts: Another feature with great potential for web interaction and therefore marketing is Hangouts. This is a chat room you can create for generalized discussion, that supports video, and therefore, YouTube-based interactions with other web users.  Here, your video content can be posted, discussed, shared and rated by both small and large groups.  The most attractive aspect to Hangouts is that the buzz happens organically. In a sense, the work is being done for you by the interface that Google + creates. Pretty cool, huh?   With many initial users starting to agree that Google + best rc helicopter buy sell market place is a good alternative or addition to Facebook, it's something every business and Internet user should investigate.  To learn more you can visit: https://plus.google.com/up/start/?sw=1&type=st
